Niteesh Kumar Soundra Pandian, B.Tech, M.S. (expected)

Niteesh is a Master of Science in Data Science student at the University of Washington. Originally from India, he earned his Bachelor of Technology in Instrumentation and Control Engineering with a minor in Computer Science from the National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappalli. Before graduate school, he worked for three years as an industry data scientist at Tata CLiQ and completed an internship as an AI Engineer at Honeywell, where he tackled search, recommendation, NLP, agentic AI, and thermal physics problems using deep learning. At UW, he has also worked on climate modeling as a Student Assistant at the eScience Institute. In the CardSS Lab, he applies deep learning and multimodal modeling to cardiac risk prediction. His broader research interests lie in deep learning, large language models, and foundation model architectures.

In his free time, Niteesh enjoys hiking across the Pacific Northwest, film photography, running, and cooking.
