Kirsten Kwan, B.S.

Alumni

Kirsten graduated with a degree in Biochemistry from the University of Washington. She is originally from the Bay Area, where she worked as a research assistant for sleep and Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) studies in the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry department at Stanford University for two years. She has a deep interest in the role of technology in healthcare and individualized medical treatment.

During Kirsten’s time in the CardSS Lab, she contributed to several projects. Most notably, she was an integral part of the team that worked on side-by-side comparison of two different fibrosis quantification methods for left atrial LGE-MRI. She earned co-authorships on EIGHT peer-reviewed conference abstracts at major international meetings and THREE peer-reviewed journal articles published or currently in revision, including our 2022 paper on epicardial adipose tissue and fibrosis.
