Jamie Yang, BS

Alumni

Jamie was an undergraduate student in the UW Department of Bioengineering. She spent several years as a valued team member, working on projects aiming to develop new optogenetics-based anti-arrhythmia treatments for use in cardiac regenerative medicine. Upon graduation, she attended the prestigious Simula Summer School in Computational Physiology and she has now joined the Bioengineering PhD program at UCSD!

Jamie hails from Victoria, BC, Canada, and is passionate about combining technology and medicine to treat cardiovascular diseases. Outside of her studies, Jamie enjoys badminton, golf, travelling, and music.

Jamie earned multiple accolades during her time in the CardSS Lab, including a Mary Gates Research Scholarship and a Levinson Emerging Scholars Award!
