Carter Anderson, BS

Alumni

Carter graduated Cum Laude from the University of Washington with a degree in biochemistry. He worked with the lab on project related to atrial image segmentation and analysis, first as an undergraduate research then as a post-baccalaureate research staffer. He is currently attending medical school at the University of Arizona, Phoenix campus. In addition to his classes, he is the Director of Social Engagement and Office of Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion liaison on the student government, the interest group leader for UA-P’s “Building the Next Generation of Academic Physicians” chapter, and the program leader for JuniorMed, which provides immersive STEAM experiences to under-served middle school student to inspire them to pursue careers in medicine.

During his time in the lab, Carter’s interest in computational biomedical research was driven by his passion for advancing technology and individualized patient care.

Outside of his work, Carter enjoys listening to Taylor Swift (top 0.005% Spotify listeners, according to Spotify Wrapped 2021!), baking, drinking coffee, and spending time with friends
